These wrist guards are way beefier than anything I've ever used. They stood up really well to my first park session with them. The larger surface area wasnt too much of a problem with hand plants, it didnt feel much different than my old protec guards. One thing is that they are fairly tight, I ordered size medium and they're quite snug. If your measurements fall in between sizes, take the larger one. Getting them on and off the first few times is difficult, but I found it easier once I was used to it and the fabric was less stiff. Would overall recommend!! They just need a little extra break in time
